Welcome to the Watershed Management and Water Quality Lab!
Based in the Department of Animal and Range Sciences at New Mexico State University, our research group is dedicated to advancing the scientific understanding of how climate, vegetation, soil, and land management dynamics interact to shape hydrological processes and water quality — with a special emphasis on arid and semi-arid ecosystems. Through multidisciplinary research, we aim to better understand and predict watershed responses to environmental changes.
Our work translates multi-scale datasets such as in-situ data, remote-sensing information, and modeling into applications to protect water resources, support agricultural productivity and ecosystem sustainability, and guide watershed management.
